Tri-Lift NJ offers certified training programs that will increase safety awareness in your facility or job site. Trained operators reduce workman’s comp insurance, reduce product and equipment damage, and ultimately keep your costs down.
Reduce the risk of personal injury.
Operator training is important because it can reduce the risk of accidents and resulting injuries to the lift truck operator and fellow workers. Federal OSHA studies show that improper or unsafe operation is the major cause of accidents and their corresponding fatalities and serious injuries. Therefore, a reduction in the unsafe operation of lift trucks will reduce the number of accidents. Training is the key to this reduction. Federal OSHA estimates that accidents can be reduced by 25 percent with an effective training program.
Reduce the risk of property and product damage.
Training can protect your company against product and property damage. Federal OSHA studies show that property damages range from $8 to $50 million annually. Property damage includes damage to product, equipment, racking and structures.
It is the law.
Federal OSHA regulations require that the employer ensure that the lift truck operator is competent to operate the lift truck safely as demonstrated by the successful completion of training. Regardless of whether a person operates a lift truck once a day or once a year, he or she must be trained.
On the average, there are 107 fatalities, 33,800 serious injuries, and 61,800 non serious injuries per year.
